About Hanoi

We look forward to your visit to our beautiful city - Welcome to Hanoi

Hanoi, Vietnam's capital, is a city steeped in history and cultural significance. Founded over a thousand years ago, it has served as a center of politics, culture, and trade in Vietnam. The city's architecture reflects its complex past, with well-preserved colonial buildings alongside ancient pagodas and temples.

One of the most iconic landmarks in Hanoi is the Hoan Kiem Lake, known for its scenic beauty and the historic Ngoc Son Temple situated on a small island in the lake. Nearby, the bustling Old Quarter offers a maze of narrow streets filled with shops, markets, and street food stalls, providing a glimpse into traditional Vietnamese life.

The Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university dating back to 1070, showcases beautiful traditional architecture and tranquil gardens. Another must-visit is the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where visitors can pay respects to the revered leader of Vietnam.

Hanoi also boasts the Hanoi Opera House, a stunning example of French colonial architecture where visitors can enjoy opera, ballet, and cultural performances. For a glimpse into Vietnam's more recent history, the Hoa Lo Prison, also known as the "Hanoi Hilton," offers insights into the country's struggles for independence.

Culinary enthusiasts will find Hanoi a paradise, with its vibrant street food scene offering delicacies such as pho (Vietnamese noodle soup), banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich), and bun cha (grilled pork with noodles). Exploring Hanoi means delving into a city that seamlessly blends its ancient traditions with its modern aspirations, making it a fascinating destination for travelers from around the world.
