We are pleased to announce our call for abstracts for the The Safe & Sound Conference: Child and Family Wellbeing for a Sustainable Future. The conference will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam December 5-6, 2024.

The conference addresses the intersections of child and family wellbeing through a focus on childhood adversity, mental health, and sustainable development at the individual, social, and global levels. Our aim is to seek and co-create knowledge that protects and enhances healthy child development, and skills of treatment and support when mental health problems arise. We want to share and use existing knowledge that foster happy children, caring parents, and responsible citizens – and specify the role and contributions from psychology and other health and social sciences.

Researchers who submit abstracts, upon approval, will have their work presented in the proceedings of an international conference published by Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with an ISBN number.

Researchers who submit full papers, upon approval, will also have their work presented in the proceedings of an international conference published by Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with an ISBN number.

Additionally, the organizers will extend presentation invitations to selected researchers. Depending on their preference, researchers may agree to participate, prepare slides, and present during the conference.

Abstract guideline

• Be in 300 words or less
• ·For papers written in Vietnamese, both Vietnamese and English abstract are required
• ·Citation: APA citation format
• ·Include the following sub-headings: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusion - with enough information to allow the reviewer access the value of each of these categories

Key dates:

• Deadline for abstract submission: August 1, 2024.
• Abstract acceptance announcement: 2 weeks after submission.
• Deadline for full paper submission: September 19, 2024
• Deadline for full paper after peer-review: Sep 16, 2024.
